About Kal Bhairav Temple Ujjain

The Kal Bhairav Temple, also known as the Kaal Bhairav Mandir, is a popular sacred site in Ujjain, the city of temples and Mahakaal. The Kal Bhairav temple is situated on the banks of the river Shipra. Ujjain Temple Kal Bhairav history is such that it is devoted to Kal Bhairava, the head of the eight Bhairav, Lord Shiva's ferocious incarnation, and the protector of Ujjain. Liquor is offered to the primary god Kaal Bhairava with a particular mantra, which is the temple's main appeal. It's merely the magic that makes Kal Bhairav accept the booze as Prasadi.

The temple's pujari places the saucer towards the deity's slitted lips. When he tilts the plate slightly, the whiskey begins to disappear. Many individuals, including Britishers, attempted to find out where the liquor went, but it remained a mystery to all. Then everyone has agreed that Kaal Bhairava himself should consume it. The Kal Bhairav temple timing is open 24 hours a day.
